The Groundhog stuck its head out this week and (in Calgary anyways) he didn’t see his shadow, so that means and early Spring! We already know that this has not been the harshest of winters and I think many of us are already itching to put away our winter garb and get on with Spring clothes.
But don’t get too carried away – it’s not time quite yet. Before you pull out your linens and open-toed shoes we want to suggest a transition period; one that will keep you warm but also looking refreshed. Here are a few simple ways we suggest you ease your way into a lighter wardrobe.
Get your colour on
Even if it’s just a belt or a shoe get some bright colour back into your wardrobe to break up the black and grey.
Winter florals
Why not? Whether it’s through an accessory or a floral shirt, you don’t have to wait. Mix it up with your wools, furs and tweeds.
Light Layers
Just wear more – it sounds easy enough, right? That heavy winter coat is getting boring so pull out your overcoats, leather or denim jackets instead. Layer with sweaters, heavy scarves and hats to stay warm.
